I was born in India in 1975. My parents are both doctors who now run their own clinic in Manchester, England. I lived in India with my aunt while they were settling down in England. When I was two years old, I also moved over to England to be with them. I studied Business and Computing at university in Manchester and this was also the place where I had my first taste of learning Japanese. During my third year at university I gained useful experience in information technology (IT) by working full time at British Steel in their computer services department. I headed straight out to Japan as soon as I graduated in June 1997 with my Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree.
I am currently living in Senriyama and teaching at Kitano High School and Senri High School. I'm enjoying living and working in Japan as it has allowed me to gain an insight into Japanese culture. Through this experience, I've made many friends that I would otherwise, never have met. I hope to pursue a career in IT upon my return to England, but I would also like to continue studying Japanese, with the view to finding a job.
